MDMA - Generative UI for your next application
Generative UI is something new. With current LLM capabilities we are able to generate predictive outcome based on given instructions. Based on our experience in development of LLM's client facing applications we see what works and what can be a struggle in the long run. So we built MDMA: an open-source declarative spec that gives LLMs a reliable grammar for generating interactive forms and UI components.

Apple News Format: The Weird JSON Spec That Powers News in 150M Devices
Apple News Format (ANF) is the JSON spec that powers the Apple News app on 150 million Apple devices, and most engineers have never heard of it. It's a document format where you describe your article as a tree of components, each with its own layout, text style, and colors, and Apple's rendering engine does the rest. This talk walks through what ANF looks like in practice, what makes it unusual, and what breaks when you try to convert real-world CMS content into it. You'll see how we handle things like rich text, images, media cards, and light/dark theming in a pipeline. By the end, you'll understand how ANF works, why it's designed the way it is, and what to watch out for if you ever have to build with it.
